Sarah is the author of the children's novel Iris, Messenger (Harcourt, 2007) about the Greek gods in suburbia and ghostwriter of two erotic novels which were adapted into a Cinemax series. She assisted on the NYT-bestselling sports memoir Eat and Run and wrote for CNBC's 2012 Olympics coverage. She is a senior boxing correspondent for Stiff Jab.
Her essays have appeared in the Threepenny Review, the Guardian, Penthouse Forum, the Washington Post, Huffington Post, WNYC.com, and the Morning News, and have been noted in Best American Essays and Best American Sportswriting. She's been awarded a Pushcart Prize and MacDowell Fellowship.
Before becoming a writer, Sarah was a chef, yoga teacher, and Golden Gloves boxing champion. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Ethan Iverson and coaches young boxers at Atlas Cops & Kids.
